Sukiyabashi Jiro Honten

Left-handed master craftsman Jiro Ono prepares around 20 pieces of sushi, including tuna and gizzard shad from coastal waters, at a good, steady pace. This is not a place for sake and snacks but a restaurant to simply enjoy nigari. It is over in 30 minutes but, while expensive, it is quality sushi that truly satisfies. The owner-chef is elderly so he comes in only at night and his eldest son handles things in the daytime.
