Gion Sasaki

‘Sasaki-style’ means creating dishes with all-round sensory appeal, using ideas that go beyond the bounds of Japanese cuisine. Owner-chef Hiroshi Sasaki showcases choice ingredients, sometimes preparing nigari or grilling awabi and crab altogether in a brick oven. Taking the lead, he creates a sense of unity between the customers and the kitchen. Another highlight is the sounds and fragrances. As the meal is served to all customers at the same time, do arrive promptly.
