The interior of this building, constructed in the sukiya-style, creates a tranquil and dignified atmosphere. Cottonseed oil is used to fry the tempura, and brings out the natural flavours of the ingredients. The ingredients vary, depending on the season, but traditional Kyoto items such as awa-fu, mugwort fu, yuba and gudgeon are mixed in. Enjoy the ding of the brass pot as you help yourself.
